Census figures alarming- Janmanch


Uttrakhand Janmanch, a regional outfit today expressed its deep concerns over the population imbalance . Janmanch said that dainik Hindustan Dehradun had published an analytical article on Census 2011 in which it is revealed that hill people had been marginalized to minority in the last ten years. Janmanch described it as a disturbing and dangerous trend for the stabality of the state.

The spokesman of Uttrakhand Janmanch today demanded that unregulated infiltration of outsiders causing great threat to the exitence of the hill people. He said that it is unfortunate that marginalsation of hill people had been promoted by the leaders of both national parties for the sake of vote bank politics. Janmanch made it clear that the people of Uttrakhand will not accept themselves as a minority community in thier own state. Janmanch warned central and state governments that there would be serious consequences of this population imbalance. Janmanch said that goverment should form a high level working group to study the report published in Dainik Hindustan by senior journalist Rajen Todariya. Janmanch demanded that State Government should come forward to clear her stand on the issue of population .
