Uttrakhand Janmanch decided to launch a agitation against colonial approach of religious leaders Swami Shivanand including political leaders BJP M.P. Menka Gandhi,Former BJP leader Govindacharya, G.D. Agrawal, Samajvaadi Party M.P. Ravatiraman Singh under the leadership of Rajen Todariya, Secretary General . Renowned Hindi poet Liladhar Jagudi and Social activist Avadhesh Kaushal announces to surrender their Padamshri on 15 August under the banner of Uttrakhand Janmanch.. Uttrakhand Janmanch revealed that the religious and political leaders of U.P., Bihar and Rajsthan had seclared a war for water against the state and people of Uttrakhand in the name of Ganga. Janmanch warned that the people of Uttrakhand will fight their water rights with tooth and nails.
