Anna Hazare's visit to Dehradun cancelled
Anna Hazare cancelled his visit to Dehrdun. He was expected to come on 1st of June 2011. It is a big blow to those people who were expecting that Anna will attack the rampant corruption in the state under the leadership of Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank, C.M. Uttrakhand. It was also a shock to the organizers who were expecting a their political revival through this visit. It is learnt that Anna Hazare visit was cancelled due to some unknown political reasons. It is told that Anna was informed about the credential of the organizers. Lokvaahini and Uttrakhand Mahila Manch was key organization which were selected by Swami Agnivesh to organize the Anna's programme in Gandhi park. It is to be noted that Swami Agnivesh is close to mr Shamsher Singh Bisht, self styled president of Lokvahini. It is said an other faction close to Swami Agnivesh expressed deep anguish over the participation of these two organizations. It is said that some leaders from various organizations told Swami that the involvement of these two will hamper the image of Anna Hazare. According to the wishpers in the air that other group warned Swami Agnivesh to postpone the programme. It is said that a broad based organizing committee will be set up to convene the visit of Anna Hazare. Meanwhile Kamla Pant, Mahila Manch Chief told newsman that Mr Hazare is unable to attend the meeting scheduled for 1st June due to some orthopedic problem in his knees.
