Congress MLAs in Bijapur guest house: The prisoners of factionalism |
Six days have been passed but still Congress leadership
failed to reach out to any decision. The issue of leadership of Congress legislative
party could not be resolved. Uttrakhand Congress is vertically divided over the
leadership issue. Factionalism is at highest level and Central leadership
miserably failed to curb it. Member of Parliament from Tehri Vijay Bahuguna,
M.P. of Haridwar Harish Rawat, M.P. from Garhwal Satpal Maharaj, Cong State
president Yashpal Arya, Ex minister Indira hriayesh, Leader of Opposition Harak
Singh Rawat are key contenders for the post of C.M. Harish Rwat is facing tough
opposition from all faction of State Congress including Harak Singh Rawat and
Satpal Maharaj.Vijay Bahuguna has the support of 10 Janpath while Yashpal Arya is
benefitted due to Dalit card. Although BSP extended her support to Cong but the
fragmented opinion of Independents
has become a headache for Cong leadership. Political logic or internal dynamics of Cong may go either in
favour of Vijay Bahuguna or Yashpal Arya
The indecisiveness of Congress leadership is eroding
the authority of High command and thus
tarnishing the over all image of party in general public.
